The EX Series provides for i.LINK distributed measurement
Measuring Groups can
be positioned as far as 100 meters from each other.
Simultaneous measurement and acquisition/recording of up to 24
channels per Measuring Group (Interface Unit + 6 Input /output
Modules), or up to 192 channels by networking 8 Measuring Groups
via i.LINK into one system.
Flexibility in
System Configuration
The EX
Series consists of one i.LINK Interface Unit, which interfaces
with any PC via i.LINK, and four channel input/output modules.
Therefore, anything from a compact, stand alone 4-channel recorder
to a wide, distributed multi-channel real-time analysis system can
be configured.
Optical Network
Measurement
The use
of i.LINK fiber cable in the network configuration ensures data
integrity against electromagnetic noise, and assures highly
accurate and reliable data transfer no matter how far apart
Measuring Groups are physically.
Modules
Various
modules such as IEPE/Direct (selectable single-ended
/differential), Microphone, Charge, DC Strain, Pulse/FV,
Thermocouple, Analog Output, Wide-band, Analysis DSP, Recording
Module, and Remote Controller are available for supporting diverse
measurement applications.
Variable Sampling
Frequencies
A desired
sampling frequency can be selected per module from 8 Hz to 65,536
Hz and set in 2 n steps according to the input frequency that may
range from a very slow speed to over 20 kHz. The user can select
either 16- or 24-bit quantization for optimizing resolution of
data and space on recording medium.
Software
Interface
PCscan IV
is Sony’s support software for the EX Series. From basic control
to sophisticated analysis, PCscan IV is a powerful tool for your
data acquisition tasks. In addition, you can use other or your own
analysis software packages using our drivers or ActiveX tool kit.
The result is seamless operation from data collection to data
analysis.
