The PSI Model 426
VME Pressure Vessel provides an off-the-shelf solution to housing a
VME-based telemetry system in an ocean ready, water-tight enclosure.
This VME Pressure Vessel has been used in numerous Navy measurement
systems, housing standard VME Subsystems in applica-tions such as
array data acquisition and telemetry. The Pressure Vessel houses a
standard 20-slot 6Ux160mm VME Card Cage and backplane mounted in a
rugged Aluminum chassis. The Alumi-num chassis is built as a modular
unit prior to assembly in the pressure vessel so systems
integra-tion and testing can be performed in a laboratory.
The Model 426 can be configured for a number of applications. The
pressure vessel is designed for installation of a variety of mount
and lift points. It has been configured for use with a surface
flotation collar, a line array frame, or with slides for mounting
inside a larger structure.
